Microsoft recentlyannouncedthat theyd cracked how to getGame Passgames running on the handheldSteam Deck.

It involves installing a beta version of Microsoft Edge (less great!)

Still, a beta is a beta, and there are very much some kinks to work out.

Happily, Microsofts senior program manager Ben Mathwig has alreadytweetedthat the installation process will get much simpler in time.

And in fairness, when it works, Xbox Cloud Gaming on the Steam Deck works well.

Theres a few seconds of delay when resuming, to re-establish an internet connection, but thats it.

Again, though, theres room for improvement.

Aside from the occasional little oddity, like the login screens Cancel button always being in German (?

So streaming makes sense as an option, even if native support is usually more ideal.

The standard PC Game pass (7.99 per month) doesnt include game streaming.

The bulk of this setup process involves installing and tweaking a beta version of Microsoft Edge.

Step 4:Scroll down until you find the Microsoft Edge Beta option.

Click its download icon and wait a few moments for it to install.

Step 5:Once installed, snag the Applications Launcher icon in the very bottom-left corner of the screen.

pop launch the Internet menu.

Step 10:Staying in Desktop Mode, launch Steam and look for Microsoft Edge in your library.

Right-press it and select Properties.

Either way, scroll down to the Launch Options field and add the following text.

Just add a space after whats already there, then enter it dont delete any of the existing text.
