There are naturally limits on what can be effectively modded without causing players a headache.
Here’s a selection of our favourite player-made mods for Bannerlord.
Isn’t that better?

They can then be activated from the Bannerlords launcher.
Bannerlord system change mods
The most useful mods for Bannerlord are the ones that change little things.
Fast Dialogue
Holy hell this needs to be incorporated into the game immediately.

The only four social options we’ll need after lockdown.
Often, you’ll then have to load another 3D scene so you can fight a battle.
These loading screens are slow, irritating, and completely unnecessary.
Fast Dialogue skips them entirely.

The only four social options we’ll need after lockdown.
You absolutely should have this mod installed.
With this mod, that system is ported to Bannerlord.
You still need to block, and pay attention to enemy movements, but it’s far less fussy.

Menus menus gimme some menus unnhhhh
Right clicking with a weapon out will block an incoming attack, automatically choosing the right direction.
Bannerlord Tweaks
A wide ranging collection of small tweaks whose cumulative affect is already quite substantial.
This is impressive work, especially for a brand new game.

At last, we can create the all-zero-skill avatar of my own potential in this world.
Exemplary behaviour that deserves recognition.
Sound the Alarm
This one is a simple mod, but a very convenient one.
It’s perfect for those that just want to skip a chunk of waiting around for things to happen.

Here, have a geezer Sin made to break up the page a bit.
Bannerlord customisation mods
Perhaps you want bigger changes than just tweaking the system behind the scenes.
Using it is quite simple.
Right choose your character in the party screen.

We had to tone down his arse because it made his effective level way too high
Editing that file lets you change skill values directly, as well as add or delete gold.
Detailed Character Creation is more basic, offering only a couple of sliders.
But this includes the most dramatic: ageing.

“Goofy noble child” is a surprisingly good look.
Yes, this means thatTHE BABY OPTIONIS BACK.
Babies aside, none of the changes are dramatic and you might’t create any abominations.
It’s a welcome addition, integrated perfectly.

don’t say “please top me” don’t say “please top me” don’t say…
Full Body Sliders is more comprehensive, offering more body-part specific sliders and slightly more extreme changes.
The downside with FBS is that it’s not modular, and overwrites two files in the base game.
Cultured Start
Another quick and simple but potentially tedium-saving mod.

Skipping the beginning of games improves 90% of them a great deal.
Do you wish your banner looked how you want it to rather than one of the presets?
Bannerlord game tweak mods
These are the mods that change things significantly.
It works really well in general, though it does struggle if you have quite a quiet voice.

They’re just, like, there.
A word of warning though: this mod uses a third party app called VoiceAttack.
Overall, this is the recommended version for most people.
“Infantry” or “charge” separately, free users will need to chain commands together, e.g.

“Infantry charge”.
This means you’ll need to speak both the unit selected and the action continuously.
Do you want your Battanians to field mostly women, but not the Vlandians?
A few simple clicks will do it.
This mod allows you to leave your fiefs to organise their own defence, recruiting villagers and prisoners.
Slow LootersorSlow Down
Very simple tweaks.
Both games reduce the travel speed of certain parties on the world map.
The latter, however, requires manually editing an xml file to the values you want.
That’s an easy thing to do, but it is a step up in hassle.
Caravans in particular are absurdly fast.
