Accordingly, the first one is a time loop puzzle game. In practise, these trials are a series of platform puzzle levels. The catch is that you’re free to basically only reach one crystal. It’s short, but very effective....
But there was one game that stood out to me as something really quite special. Like Friday Monsters, TheKidsWe Were is more of an interactive 3D visual novel than anything else. The mysteries themselves are classic kids detective club stuff. That’s not to say the mysteries here are unsatisfying. Alas, the process of actually untangling fact from fiction in The Kids We Were is altogether more restrained. The town itself also doesn’t possess quite the same sense of place as Friday Monsters....
