We chat with panel moderator Isaie “Trouffman” Simonnet about the past, present and future of the hardware modding community PC hardare modding is never something I had the guts to try during my time in the RPS hardware mines, but after attending The Evolution Of PC Modding panel atPAX Eastthis week, I wish I’d been a little bolder. Potionomics is the latest witchy shop sim to catch our eye

Mix, haggle, sell Potionomicsseems to contain several things I’d like from a video game. It’s got brewing potions, yes, that’s good. There’s shopkeeping, I like that a lot. Then there’s a card-driven social system for haggling with customers - perfect. Recettear meetsPotion CraftmeetsSigns Of The Sojourner? With beautiful character animation? Watch its new trailer below. It’s the haggling system that most interests me. I can’t deny the art is part of the appeal, too....

RPS@PAX 2022: Cursed To Golf dev tells us exactly what's up with all the wacky golf games recently

Well, we thought we better answer that question by going straight to the source. But then, disaster struck. Dante clearly had it wrong. The golfing itself is delightfully simple. All it involves is two button taps: power and pitch. The twist is that these are no ordinary golf holes. And if you die? It is a roguelike, after all. How Chinatown Detective Agency is making a cultural impact

It follows a young detective named Amira Darma as she starts up her agency to solve cases. Thats a huge difference between the actual game versus what it was two years ago. While Chinatown Detective Agency steadily improved over the several years of development, not everything made the final cut. Although the mechanic sounded great on paper, it ended up just bogging down the entire game experience. So we decided to focus more on the core gameplay and mechanics....
