One game's end leads to another game's start in spooky collaborative anthology C.H.A.I.N.G.E.D.

A sort-of follow-up to C.H.A.I.N. is a conceptual follow-up to 2020sC.H.A.I.N, which also stitched together varied shorts from different devs. There are on-rails shooters. Marble flinging boss fights against the Antichrist. Third-person sword fights against the Antichrist. (Admittedly there are a lot of ways to kill the Antichrist.) Theyre not entirely unrelated to each other, though. That all leads to some great (and messy) time-space-multiverse mishaps. Earths genesis or pre-history?...

Persona 3 Reload continues to look lush in new trailer

It looks nice though, dinnit? I vastly prefer Persona’s modern 3D character design versus the old chibi models. Persona 3 Portablearrived on PC just a few months ago, 14 years after its original PSP release.

PowerWash Simulator will receive Warhammer 40,000 DLC later this year

Perhaps there’s only grim darkness because space marines never bother to jet wash their shoulder pads? Perhaps the Tyranids would be less inclined towards shredding humanity if someone scrubbed their biomechanical Hive ships for them. PowerWash Simulator is a wonderful, relaxing, surprisingly canny sim andone of our favourite games of 2022. At this point any crossover seems possible.

Reality Bytes: Another Fisherman's Tale brings a whole new approach to its mind-bending puzzles

2019’s A Fisherman’s Tale was one of those. But that isn’t what developer InnerspaceVR has done. That last point is meant quite literally. And that’s only the beginning. You use these oddball abilities to solve a variety of spatial puzzles. It’s a wonderfully cartoonish contraption. All it needs isRaymond Scott’s Powerhouseplaying in the background to complete the effect. Like Portal, A Fisherman’s Tale’s puzzles are more imaginative than they are complex....

Screenshot Saturday Mondays: Please, is anyone there, is anything left

Thinking about the future while Twitter burns Hello? Is anyone out there? If you’re reading this, you must be. If not, hell, I must attempt to keep on living even if no one’s observing. I’ve not seen my friend’s cat in three days. I don’t know if my friend has a cat anymore. I don’t know if I have a friend anymore. All I know is that Twitter’s collapse has accelerated....

Ubisoft might be remaking their swashbuckling pirateventure Assassin's Creed IV: Black Flag

Or better yet, at what point does a game need a remake? If true, this means it’s joining The Last Of Us Part 1 as 2013s other maybe-too-soon remake. The real-life Abstergo stuff was also in first-person, which is the only reason I remember that part existed. While Skull & Bones doesnt have a release date yet, the live-service game is holding aclosed betathis August. Theres no word on whether the AC4 remake will incorporate the newer RPG stuff added in Odyssey and Valhalla....

Valve doesn't want to discourage AI tech on Steam, but are worried about the "legal uncertainty" of it

Ultimately, its the developers responsibility to verify they have the appropriate rights to ship their game. As these laws and policies evolve over time, so will our process. The growing prevalence of generative AI has made things messy for every creative field. Im probably not the only one whos hearduncanny AI songswhile surfing the internet. “Sounds like something an undercover AI would say, to be honest.
