Sea of Stars, The Messenger devs’ love letter to classic RPGs, sells 100,000 copies on its first day

However you want to slice it, its a big number and marks a notable success for Sabotage. For me, though, it’s just lacking that little extra crunch to make it truly special. I expect to be spending a lot more time in its world in the weeks to come.

Space Marine 2 shows off 10 minutes of stomping, chainswording and a Chaos tease for the Warhammer 40k sequel in extended gameplay

What do you mean theres an alien invasion going on? Still, I hope you like the sound of boots on gravel. There is, however, a disappointing lack of people bellowing SPACE MARINE! at you, which remains my prevailing memory of the first game.

Unable to "defeat gravity" and keep old content, Destiny 2 has become the Darkness

But I continue to be fascinated by the game. Again, this is largely thanks to how Destiny ravels the concept of erasure into its on-going storyline. There are some entirely fair-sounding reasons for the ebb and flow of materials between Destiny 2 and the Vault. That’s the lens that we’re looking through. Non-service games do this from sequel to sequel - think of reboarding the Ishimura inDead Space 2. I wonder if we’ll still be playing Destiny by then....

What's better: Interrupt attacks, or a lore codex?

Last time, you decided thata stress-free co-op helper is better than timed dialogue choices. A double victory for carefree living, there. Still, we must move on, for science. This week, I ask you to choose between a sharp shock and a deep dive. What’s better: interrupt attacks, or a lore codex? Not stuns, although interrupting is part of their broader deal. Not staggers, which can jostle anything. Interrupts, those attacks which exist purely to say “Hey!...

Where Winds Meet is a wildly ambitious RPG that lets you yeet bears

And it was hilariously impossible to summarise in the space of a short, sharp 30-minute appointment. That there’s tonnes of martial arts and a system where you’re free to pet animals. The second half was bonkers. And all of it possible on keyboard and mouse, which is a nice plus. As a Soulsliker, I was very impressed! First stop: a bear. We pinged over to a quaint village, complete with a suitably quaint waterwheel....

I have consumed Starfield's universe and it tastes of whole milk and cinnamon

Bethesda literally fed us their space adventure at Gamescom “What’s better than gazing at the Milky Way? “, asks Bethesda. “Savouring it as well.” Try and picture a day of bouncing between appointments where theres little to no lumbar support. It turns out that space tastes like whole milk mixed with cinnamon. Nope, space is a rather delicious milk, and it rejuvenated my tired evening somewhat. I even mustered the energy to move from the sofa to my bed....

Life By You's humans are always watching you, and some of them can be real creepy about it

They’re almost constantly aware of everything that you’re doing. Oh good, I thought at the time. There are stalkers here, too, brilliant. I jest, of course (slightly). It’s hard to say at this point. I suspect it will be more subtle than that. Original Picross developers are releasing their next nonogram puzzler on Steam

I’m hopingLogiart Grimoirewill achieve such numbing delights when it launches into Steam Early Access next month. It seems that this time you’re not simply selecting the nonograms from a menu. All of the puzzles will be available from launch. That will come later, which means I’ll have to wait to fully relive my Nintendo DS days. At the end of each puzzle, you’ll normally have drawn a picture of some kind....

Our Starfield review is going to be a little late

Alas, RPS' review won’t be among them, as we haven’t received code yet. I’m not gonna lie. This isn’t the first time RPS have been in this situation regarding review code. Unfortunately at time of writing, we’ve still yet to receive code from them. As a result, our review will be arriving a little later than everyone else’s. and “Hype!” The same applies to our guides coverage.
