The current input setup for the Steam Deck is, most part, functional. As it stands, however, some manual rejigging is necessary. The good news is that more generally, very little else needs changing in pursuit of ideal Steam Decking. Except, um, the bounced light approximation toggle, which is currently bugged into self-reverting to Ultra. Basically, anything you might hold while your right thumb spins the camera around.

Now, sadly, she is departing RPS for a new adventure. Come say thank you and farewell. For the past three years, Katharine has been the driving force behind Rock Paper Shotgun. It should therefore go without saying that her departure is a huge loss for the site. She’s not going far - thank goodness - and will be popping up elsewhere within Gamer connection soon.

Alas, it did not sell well. Boss Key closed less than a year after launch, and the game soon followed. While there’s no clear launch plan yet, more playtesting will follow. And since 2020, a few fans have been plotting to bring it back. This weekend, the unofficialRELB Projectran the first public tests for their own launcher which enables an unofficial revival. They’re now reflecting on the weekend’s playtest before deciding when they’ll run another....
