Chapter 3-5 shows that the flagship monster isn’t how this walkthrough ends.

Finish Chapter 3 with a bang as you bring the fight to Zoh Shia.

The only question that remains is how will you deal with them and the Dragontorch?

A Monster Hunter Wilds screenshot shows Nata standing in front of Zoh Shia’s frozen chrysalis while looking down.

Once you talk to Nata, you’ll be on your way towards the next major fight.

You’ll want to bring Nulberries, Armorskin potions, and Demondrug potions.

Unlike many other fights, you won’t need traps or Flash Pods for this monster.

Once the cutscene ends, this triggers the Zoh Shia battle.

I’ve discussed before in our Monster Hunter Wilds walkthroughs how many monsters function as training.

This ends up being a good example of how they prepare you.

First, Zoh Shia is a guardian, so they frequently produce crystals even though they look slightly different.

Use slinger ammo like the Dragon Pods and Thundercrysts nearby to blow those crystals up.

Don’t be surprised if they clutter the entire area and create chain explosions.

During this attack, you’re free to take a stab at sever Zoh Shia’s tail.

Other fire attacks include fireball projectiles and a large flame cone forward.

Their lightning attacks will build Thunderblight if they hit you.

A Monster Hunter Wilds screenshot shows Zoh Shia breathing fire in the distance as large ice walls form in the area.

Fortunately, when Zoh Shia first becomes jet black, they’ll start a lightning storm and stand still.

As long as you avoid the glowing floor hazards, you’re able to deal some easy damage.

Similar to Jin Dahaad, they have a crystal outer layer you’ve got the option to destroy.

But, that same layer will regenerate over time.

Surviving Zoh Shia’s one-hit attack

Zoh Shia’s one-hit attack doesn’t have an obvious solution.

You likely have to pull down the Shrine Fragments floating above, then hide behind them.

What’s confusing about this one-hit attack is Zoh Shia creates many large ice walls.

With that said, there’s a lot of time to prepare for this attack.

Once you’ve slain Zoh Shia, Chapter 3-5 and themain Monster Hunter Wilds missionis complete.
