This is why it’s worth looking for Torch Pods in your environment.
With that said, I only noticed the geyser once, which the game calls Oilsilt Spouts.
Aside from the Oilsilt Spouts, you should frequently watch for steam rising from the ground at any time.
Rompopolo can stick their tail into the ground and explode the area near you or them.
This is a common way they telegraph their attacks which can help you avoid an explosive disaster.
Many of their attacks solidify the oil so you don’t have to trudge through it.
Another trick to watch for is when they do a poisonous charge forward.
This leaves their mouth open for a wound attack if you’re quick enough.
Always check your environment for helpful creatures like these and Sleeptoads too.
After successfully slaying the Rompopolo, you’ll have completed Toward Fervent Fields and Chapter 2-1.
